Eric Ogden Named Head of Lower School

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Ogden as Browning’s new Head of Lower School. Eric, who will begin his term on July 1, is currently Head of Lower Division at Avenues: The World School, where he has enjoyed an impressive career both as a teacher and a senior administrator. He has led the Lower Division for two years. Prior to joining Avenues eight years ago, he was a second grade teacher at Columbia Grammar and Prep School.

Eric, who has a B.A. in Elementary Education and English from Dartmouth College and a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University, also taught in a public elementary school in New Jersey at the beginning of his career. 

We thank Kelly West, who chaired the search committee as well as our search firm, Wickenden Associates, for their expertise in these endeavors.
