Lower School Concludes Year with "Sing a Song" Assembly

True to tradition, the Lower School boys celebrated the end of their school year with a closing assembly at Christ Church, complete with many a musical selection to add to the theme of "Sing a Song." Head of School John Botti and Head of Lower School/Assistant Head of School Laurie Gruhn addressed the boys, praising their accomplishments and wishing them well. The boys, in turn, took to the microphone to share their favorite school memories, all of which made for a poignant conclusion to their time thus far at Browning.

Under the direction of Music Department Chair Lucy Warner, the Strings of Spring Orchestra opened the program, followed with singing performances by the first, second and third grade boys. Another highlight of the assembly included the fourth grade boys' mini musical, "We've Got Memories Bright and Clear," which recounted their days at Browning from Kindergarten to present. As a grand finale, the Lower School boys raised their voices together in a medley of "Sing," by Joe Raposo of Sesame Street fame, and Duke Ellington's "It Don't Mean a Thing." We congratulate our youngest Browning boys on a job well done!
